Which one of these sound familiar??
〰️I’m going to go out of order here… because the number one thing that I hear is “I lost weight the first week but nothing this week” or “ I’ve been keto for 3 weeks and only lost 7lbs”.
When I get these messages, my first thought, always, is GREAT JOB!!! And look, I get when you are starting a body transformation journey that you have tunnel vision, all you see is the end result in your mind so it’s hard to be IN the journey. Let the magic happen. You did not get where you are in 1, 2, 3 weeks or even 3 months in many cases. STAY CONSISTENT and trust your body. Also. Wait for your whoosh!
〰️Eating too many keto snacks & treats WILL hold you back. Yes I get that they have “2g net carbs” etc, but look at the total carbs. Total carbs DO count. Make your goal UP TO 20 net carbs & 50 total carbs per day or less.
〰️Don’t be afraid of protein! 🥩 In your macros, protein is a goal you want to meet everyday! Don’t limit protein bc of the misconception that our bodies will turn it into carbs. Lack of protein can lead to muscle & hair loss which I’m sure you do not want in your life.
〰️Do you obsess over the scale? 🙋🏻♀️ Been there! I go by measurements now because they are WAY more accurate. Think of it like this – urine ketone strips vs a blood ketone meter. Which is more accurate for results? PS – if you don’t have a blood ketone meter, grab the one I use for 15% off here
〰️Cooking with & eating the wrong fats. I’ll give it to ya straight – avoid Canola, Soybean, Vegetable, Safflower, Sunflower, Corn, Margarine, Crisco etc. you’ll notice most store bought salad dressings have a base of one of these oils bc they are cheap. I highly suggest making your own or using olive oil 🙌🏼
〰️Many forms of magnesium will actually induce diarrhea 😰 I supplement with Magnesium glycinate bc it does not, I use this one, it is easily absorbed by the body, & relaxing (take at night). I suggest avoiding oxide and citrate versions.
Which of these do you wish you knew earlier in your journey?? For me, I’d say protein because I remember how surprised I was as the tiny portions of protein on my plate and missing it!
