These sausage balls are sooooo good and definitely a CROWD PLEASER every time!!! Normally people make these with bisquick…. and when I bring these to gatherings no one evens asks or can tell a difference!! Low Carb, Gluten Free, Keto, and no taste difference!! Here is the recipe friends!
- 1lb spicy breakfast sausage
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese (I recommend grating your own)
- 1 cup cheddar cheese (I recommend grating your own)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried minced onion
Add all ingredients into a large bowl and combine with your hands. If you have a stand mixer, it’s easiest to mix using your dough hook!! That’s what I do but not necessary. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat. Form sausage mixture into 1/2 inch balls. For uniform size balls I suggest using a cookie dough scoop, that’s what I use. Plus it is very quick because the mixture is sticky! Bake for 25-35 minutes depending on your oven and how crispy you prefer the outside.
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise (I do not recommend the avocado oil type)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp white wine vinegar
- 10 drops hot sauce
- 1/8 tsp garlic powder
Mix all ingredients together and enjoy with warm sausage balls!!!
